The intervention area, in the heart of the city but very close to the hilly countryside, is characterized by the presence of partially abandoned buildings. The urban planning tool envisages the redevelopment of the sector through a unitary design comprising demolition and reconstruction with mainly residential use. The project investigates the possibility of establishing a close relationship, both visual and physical, with the surrounding hills, which can be reached through green, north-south oriented channels that characterize the entire urban layout. The interior space that is created between the buildings becomes a green pedestrian interspace where the vital activities of the new district take place.
