Sky garden

Pistoia, Italy - 2012

The project involves the creation of a small panoramic garden on the hills surrounding Pistoia, characterized by extensive olive groves. The intervention develops on a plot with a significant slope, which is overcome through a path marked by a tight sequence of exposed reinforced concrete walls. These vertical elements, arranged in parallel, define spaces and perspectives, guiding visitors from the upper part of the garden to the lower area. In the lower portion lies the heart of the space: a pergola in steel and wood and a solarium area paved with teak decking, conceived as a place for pause and contemplation. From here, the view opens onto the valley, offering a visual experience that embraces the city and the surrounding hills.
