Masterplan - Lungomare

Giugliano (NA), Italy - 2006

An important comparison between designers from all over Italy is looking for new ideas and possibilities of recovery for some fascinating but degraded areas of the Campania region: a landscape saturated with interventions not caring for the surrounding heritage, cuts of unique beauty drowned and sometimes hidden by a neighborhood grown without rules , purely spontaneous, not caring for collective needs. The design seeks through nature, its strength and the use of recovered materials related to the culture of the place, easy to assemble by means of elementary technologies, to delimit the residences from the protected areas by inserting them in places where the public space is enhanced direct contact with the sea and the beach.
