Second classified project

The program included a new gymnasium in an area of he Historic Center of the city previously occupied by a historic artistic foundry. The project seeks the exaltation of the past production process, to melt and forge, which pervades the intervention both on the compositional level, to give shape to its fluid spaces, and on the expressive and evocative level in the form of inclined roofs. The forged metal completes all the spaces, vertical and horizontal, left free from the wall structures and modeling itself in its forms, becomes solid molded. In the bronze frame that covers the portions made from scratch, only a few cuts create gaps for lighting without interrupting the plastic continuity of the forged forms.
